New Star Trek in development - limited info inside

Enterprise had some great episodes, first episode was probably the best start of any trek....
Nipples in the decon room was seriously nice as well :D

sounds like they want to return to the In a Mirror Darkly ethos, 2 of the best ST episodes ever. for those that havent seen it, well worth trying to get hold of the eps even if you werent a fan of enterprise, they show ST in a completely different light :

Mmm not to sure about this. If it were as dark and gritty as shows such as BSG/SGU then it wouldn't be Star Trek. They may aswell call it something else.

It will be interesting to see how they proceed, but personally i hope it's set after the TNG/DS9/Voyager era, to many prequels are bad :(. Leave that to the films now.
 
There's nothing here. At all. This idea probably just exists on some guys computer. It's not even been pitched yet.

Hell, my own idea for a new Star Trek TV has just as much a chance of coming fruition as what's been "reported" in that article.

I'll believe it when it, y'know, is actually pitched to CBS.

More to the point, CBS have no intention of making a Star Trek TV show so once again I say, there's nothing here. Yet.

Whilst a new Start Trek would be great to fill the Sci-Fi void, I agree with what he said!
 
The thing that worries me is when they say "a much younger cast", I hope that doesn't mean its going to become some teen drama.

I thought about it and its going to be crap..They will probably go akin to the latest reboot film and make it Federation90210 or this moody BSG/SGU crap that isnt even good.
 
Did you see the line about the potential for an animated series too? I think if we're going to get more Star Trek I hope it's live action.

Let's see a new idea again though rather than rehashing one of the ideas that have already been done.
