I have just called a minute ago. The bloke said that the money in your CC is held for up to 5 working days and that the orders have been cancelled, we just haven't received the email yet about it. He said to me all of them as even some of the EPP orders are out of stock.

I'm just crossing my fingers. :p

I'm going to assume I haven't got one and keep looking. If I get one from HP it will just be a pleasent suprise.

My 32gb was delivered from Staples today, as was everyone who ordered around me at work. We all ordered on Tuesday afternoon. Was funny...

Me: "Can you open the pakcage?"
Brother: "It's a welcome pack"
Me: "Crap"
Brother: "There's another box...it's a touchpad"
Me: "Win!"

Also have 3 cases and 2 touchstones arrive...

They should make 20 million more now, double the cost to £160 and they would still sell like hotcakes and be the only way they could break into the market. Kind of like Sony did using the Playstation at a loss to force their way into the market.

People just think they HAVE to have one now, like the wii. They should build on that?

Its annoying though as I am supposed to pay my CC by the 28th of August and I have there a few hundred worth of HP goods and now they are holding the funds. Its not in my statement but it shows on my available credit.

Does anyone know if I will be charged interest?

That's the problem, everyone is refreshing, sometimes its worth calling or just going to a store. I thought I'd try Staples on Tuesday afternoon, gave them a sob story and said that I couldnt complete an order earlier, and they took an order no problem.

Same thing happened (on a smaller scale) when PCW used to reduce hardware to stupid prices (e.g. the 9600GTs for 4.97, Core 2 Duo CPUs for less than £10) it said on website no stock, but phoning around and managed to blag stock.

Thanks for the update. Figured as much :( Looks like I maybe going hunting this weekend. Unless someone is kind enough to tip me a argos reservation near the Derby area or willing to sell me one straight out.
 
I LOVE STAPLES!!!!

Just got a call saying they were out of stock of the 16gb ones so my order had been cancelled but because it was on a first come first serve basis and i picked up the call they were able to offer me a 32GB for £115 inc VAT :D

They are sending it out today for free next day delivery tomorrow

WIN!!!!
