Report a crime without pressing charges

was she even a looker? fit ?
why are you letting people tie you up anyway there is no way i would ever take that risk with someone i didnt know, do you go bareback to ?

btw the burn will likely fade, i had a big burn from the top of a clipper lighter on my wrist in a show of alpha when i was drunk in my teens and somehow we got into a game of who could hold a hot lighter on their skin the longest..

it was a big circle but you can barely tell there was ever a burn now, i had a plastic drip burn on my arm to just a drop and thats just a small white mark now

Put bio oil on it once it stops burning to help the scar heal.

Also if your career is legal where you are and you felt the line was really clearly overstepped..what's the harm in reporting? Although if you were into bdsm in the first place bear in mind this could be hard to prove.

I read the OP;

implies that you discussed some weird sex gaming and it got out of hand, regardless of that, she hardly marked you mate, it's not exactly getting shot is it.

If you are going to cry and go running to the Popo because some girl touched you with a hot lighter or some such nonsense I would suggest pro fighting is a little beyond your threshold for being hurt....:D

well it's not really that is it.

Hurduf's a hooker so odds are this person will use other prostitutes too in future (or has in the past) and it's possible she will do something like this again but do more serious harm.

Now it's more than likely such a case will be purely her word verses the prostitute's (hardly the most reliable of witnesses and not exactly looked favourably on by juries) so the police having a report of a similar incident from her in the past could help any subsequent and more serious victims in court.

Normally you're quite sensible Castial but you're being an ****ing idiot in here to try and score points against hurduf.

oh and hurduf that thing is tiny it probbaly wont scar as long as you ran it under cold water for a good 20 mins + and didn't wrap it up after.

Well for a start I didn't know he was a prostitute and for another that would make the reporting to the police even more stupid, they are not going to give a sod about his little burn, they will take great interest in the circumstances of how he got it, specifically the illegal nature of his profession.

Hurfdurf should realise that his chosen profession has risks and that he should put this down to experience and stop being such a drama queen or find something legal and more suited to his delicate nature as a job.

So prostitutes don't have any rights to protect them from violent assault?

BRB, off to murder a hooker.

the oods are no one else is silly enough to let them be tied up by a customer , he cant be so desperate for money that hes willing to take massive risks

Solicitation is illegal, employment laws do not apply. If he doesn't want the risk or cannot manage his clientèle effectively, he should find another career.

The Police will not be interested in a minor assault (I suspect it was a matter of miscommunication on the boundaries of what was acceptable anyway) committed during an illegal act, they will be more interested in hurfdurf's profession.

Frankly since finding out what he does, I have absolutely no sympathy for him whatsoever. He is a criminal, regardless of whatever justification he (or others) find for him. He has chosen a life which come with serious risks and unless he grows up and stops making silly decisions like allowing a client to tie him up without any outside backup then he will find he will have a tough time.

Now for the serious advice:

Hurfdurf, put it down to experience, think yourself lucky she wasn't a psycho and you ended up in a pool of your own blood and either find another, legal career path or learn to manage this one more effectively. Telling the police will do nothing other than open yourself up to investigation and targeting, what you should be doing is telling the other prostitutes in the area about the girl as that is the only effective way to ensure she doesn't hurt anyone else.

His chosen profession is irrelevant. As a human being and citizen of the UK he has an implicit right not to be assaulted. Employment law isn't even in point.

As this is (I assume) part of your profession I am of the impression that you'd be fairly well versed in "sizing people up", if that makes sense. If you think she posesses a potential future risk to others, I think that you should report it. However, I am aware that this could make things awkward for you.

Moral dilema, me thinks.

In this case the assault is minor in comparison to the illegality of the profession of the complainant, and that is what the Police will see. They may well chase up on the girl in question, but it is unlikely. What they will do however is take a great interest in Hurfdurfs occupation and the circumstances of how he got the injury.

If he wants to be a prostitute then he needs to manage the risks more effectively and allowing a client to tie him up in a situation where he has no external support was foolish and dangerous.

Hopefully he has learned a lesson and either gets support or refrains from such risky practice. In his OP he implies that the job entailed a certain amount of 'pain' and it looks like the client went too far, I would like to know whether the woman in question ceased when asked as that would imply a misinterpretation of what was allowed rather than a deliberate attempt to maim or kill him. You make your choices, you take the risks that go with those choices. No, he should not be assaulted, but unless he is willing to risk police attention falling on him he has to learn that the profession he has chosen has inherent risks and assault is one of them and that due to the nature of his profession he cannot effectively rely on the police to protect him in all circumstances, he must take responsibility for his own protection and in this case he need to inform the other prostitutes working the region, not the police as that is the most effective way of accomplishing his intention.

What he needs to do is warn the his compatriots of the tendencies of this woman as that is the only effective way to ensure she doesn't hurt anyone else in similar situations.

Even so, if HerfDerf had done this to a woman, the police would take GREAT interest in him as someone who got sadistic pleasure out of branding without consent.

At the end of the day though it's a risk that comes with the job. It's seedy, degenerate and has no place in society, so you're naturally going to attract the scum.

Good luck. :p
