Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Marge msg'd me before we played complaining it was laggy in the random casuals he had earlier, but our games seemed fine. Parrying is harder then I thought...

parrying is not that important really, it got me killed more often than win me games lol (as my video have shown!). it is only good for getting up and when you get them in a spot where they cant footsie and you know what are going to do. the hardest thing i can do with it is, parry a wake-up dp and counter with c.mk super. the funny thing is i only know how to parry high, so i am screwed if they wake up mashing lows.

you will do ok, as long as you can do basic combo like c.mk into super during footsies and hit-confirm c.lk into super.

The problem a lot of new players have is thinking too much about parrying. You should only really use it on wakeup, as an antiair, against fireballs and fishing for it in footsies at first. You can start parrying supers when your more comfortable with it.
(unless its an aegis trap or something then you may as well try)

Changing Yang's DP command from SFIII to SFIV and then going back to re-adjust again can be quite a pain. Too many random teleport mistakes you don't want.

nice to see those skateboard punks get a long overdue nerfing, they really should give ryu the range back on his footsy, it really killed him off

His footsy range is the same as super, they just reduced the active frames on cr.mk. you have to time things a bit better thats all.

What I wish they would do is give him so way of getting out of the corner a bit easier. Ryu really has problems now if he gets pushed to the corner.

How does 3SOE play online? laggy? good?

I have only played private matches so far but haven't noticed any issues at all, will probably try some ranked tonight and report back.

Ill be interested to try out Evil Ryu again with his tweaks.

I thought the same thing, I'm messing around with him a little bit as it is right now but his changes look good in 2012.

Onis getting pretty much buffs across the board for 2012, they removed his reset corner trick but the other changes definatley make up for that. Gonna stick with him probably.
