Nakedness and the Law

Isn't there something wrong when anyone would consider a naked person to be sexually suggestive? Being nude doesn't imply anything sexual, unless you have a dirty mind to begin with. In which case it isn't the nude person who has something wrong with them, it is the person who has taken offence who should take a look at themselves.

Its called sexual attraction and there is nothing wrong with it, what I find to be wrong is an adult not respecting other adults wishs in regards to their children.

Would you find it acceptable for children to be subjected to nudity every day at the school gate or play ground? Same chap or chaps hanging around?

If i wish my child to grow up without ever seeing a beard is it then expected that people with beards will respect my wishes and hide whenever i'm near?

For protecting their children?

I think it depends on the context doesn't it. If some dodgy bloke is hanging around a school naked, then it calls into question why he is there in particular. In fact even if he was fully clothed, if he has no good reason to be there then questions should be asked.

I know it's not what you meant, but they are subjected to nudity every day when they get dressed and when they shower/bath.

This. :D
Although beards may be a bad example as they are helping to cover up the person's nakedness even more.

FACIAL NUDITY IS THE WORST KIND OF NUDITY!:mad:

Yep. I dunno what it's like in school nowadays but when I was at school we had to shower with everyone else in communal showers. OMG NUDITY  Somehow I survived this experience without permanent mental scars though :)

That context can be applyed to public nudity, why would anyone want to be nude around children?

Sounds like a non sequitur / straw man.

Someone might choose to be nude, and then he or she might encounter children. It doesn't mean he / she chose to be nude BECAUSE there were children there.

Of course yes, if someone only chose to be nude around schools or playgrounds etc. BECAUSE children are there, then that is wrong and disturbing. But normal naturist activity as practised by the man who is imprisoned, doesn't fall into that category.

Did your teachers shower with you? ;)

No, although if that had occurred from an early age then I would have found no reason to find anything wrong with it. It is just what you are used to, I think. In some civilisations like in parts of Africa, nudity is considered normal and it would be weird to think otherwise. They have just been brought up that way. We on the other hand have been brought up to fear nudity and think there is something dirty or perverted about it.

Given that children populate all public areas how can you know it was not his motive? Why was he not motivated to use areas openly known to be areas in use by nudests?

Am not implying anything about him this is just for the thread..

People seem to forget that under our clothes we are actually naked.

I have never though of nudity as being dirty, my issue with it in public is that I don't want my children subjected to it. I want them to remain children until they are ready to become adults, if people want to prance around in the nude. Take it to a nudist area away from children.

Won't somebody please think of the children?
