Just got off the phone to CPW - The person said that if you received the first email - They will get in touch in the next few days about what will happen - He said that they are out of stock but thinks that they are getting more in but didn't sound like he really knew.
In other news I phoned them on 0800 0491008 which is free but they had to put me through to support and before she did that she had to "Tell me about a fantastic order" - I had to listen to half of it while groaning "I want my existing order, not a new one" until she finally gave up and put me through! Great Support
Edit: So yeh, if you didn't notice - You can phone them on 0800 0491008 and just get put through to customer services rather than having to pay however much it is on the 0870 number from the order tracker - I was also on hold a lot less too!

I'm quite surprised that CPW are stringing this out so long really. I would have thought Rainforest would have more buying power over cpw so they would have got more stock over cpw. Yet rainforest have already cancelled all their backorders
Although I normally have a live and let live approach I reported that auction-site seller as a business posing as a private seller, which he obviously is. I wonder if he will declare the tax? Or is it Mis** in disguise?
I think he had 100 to start, half and half of 16/32GB. Must be a front for an online store since only such stores would have that many, a small outfit might have a dozen but that's it.

When did you reserve it? I reserved mine but it hasn't been delivered to store yet....

Ive been reading reports of people going into argos and scamming the reservation numbers. Thats mega sad!
Apparently they hold the funds for 5 days and then release it back to you.
Unless you really need the money I would leave it for a week since you never know. Don't contact HP!
The money will eventually be taken of hold by your CC company if HP don't complete, perhaps 5 days.

just wonder if anyone has any info on Comet orders, I had a call on Tuesday saying that they were going to be delivering on 5th Sept and did I still want to go ahead with my order. I confirmed I did and payment was taken that afternoon.
All the posts on here suggest that no UK retailers are guaranteed any more stock so am unsure why Comet would be so confident that they are receiving more?
