If you won the Euromillions would you leave the UK? Like we all know there are bad things about England but when you have 50+ million I imagine you can insulate yourself from the negative aspects of the UK.

I would have said yes a few years ago but after traveling you actually miss the small things. I would spend 6 months out of the country a year.

I'd do a lot of travelling, and I'd only move if I found somewhere better.

For all its short comings, the UK is actually a pretty good place to live

I'd do lots of travelling but I'd not leave the UK residency-wise. I've done enough travelling to realise that these far flung places we all dream about are not perfect Utopias. :)

Having lived in 5 countries and travelled to various others there's nowhere quite like the uk. Yes the weather sucks but there's so much to do..I'd get bored anywhere else after a while. He who is bored of London is bored of life..

If I won that much money I'd invest in properties overseas and travel when i felt like it but I always like coming home.

If I won that much money I'd probably buy a yacht and travel about in that for most of the year, I'd always have a home in Glasgow though.

i'd certainly by property abroad and would spend time where i felt like i wanted to. i'd base myself in worcestershire though, there's some great houses around here that i'd buy, well, atleast one of them anyway.

Definitely. I'm currently looking into moving to Canada seeing as there's essentially nothing in the UK for me right now, but the main concern is expense and work. Fortunately my parents should be there for at least another 12 months so if I can get a move on, that'd make things much easier.

Where in London would you buy a house, Bishops Avenue or Knightbridge?

If you had Euromillions in the bank - the last thing you would be thinking of was where you are going to live - you would be to busy travelling everywhere and stopping for less than 6 months in most places..

But to the OPs question (which is far to open-ended) - Are you looking at it as a family man, or a single man with a Girlfriend.

No way would I stay here.....

As a father (who likes the outdoor life and hot / sunny climates) - there is no way I would stay here. There are so many countries that offer so many better lifestyles if you have the money to get in. Why do you think so many multi-millionaires bring up their children in Asian or American private schools where they are taught respect and proper education ?

Just to throw it in there ;)

I thought it was english private schools that were world class. Look how many rich Russians/Arabs send the kids to schools like Eton.

I'd retain a base in the UK, but would also spend a lot of time abroad. Mainly due to climate.

if i won the euromillions i might just about be able to pay of my uni debts and insure myself on my mums car for a few months.

but seriously i'd almost certainly stay in the UK even after i finish my degree because all my friends and family are around here (and im really bad at making new friends)
