Hey guys,

Need help finding the best performing Thermal compound of 2011 to cool my beastly i7 2600k, What would you guys recommend. :)

Oh... And the best way to apply it! :P

Arctic Cooling MX-4. Apply a small blob on your CPU and then allow the weight of the cooler to spread the paste evenly. If you have an HDT cooler such as the Corsair A70/A50 then apply it like in this guide.

I had the best results with IC Diamond but if price is of any concern, last time I checked Arctic MX-4 was the best value tim on the market.

Money ain't a problem. I was reading around and wondered how the shin etsu x23 perform against the MX-4 and IC Diamond?

I have no idea.

I read good things about the Shin Etsu thermal paste but have no confirmation in real world results as I've had a chance to try it out.

It's one of the TIMs that is quite popular outside the mainstream community.

EDIT: there you have some interesting results: http://www.overclock.net/cooling-experiments/453054-ic-diamond-7-vs-shin-etsu.html
