If you had the money would you leave England

I would have said yes a few years ago but after traveling you actually miss the small things. I would spend 6 months out of the country a year.

This.

I would buy loads of places around the world (canada, Tokyo, Hong Kong) and just spend time travelling between them

Yes, probably to California or somewhere.

Never, my husband is southern california, my family partly are southern californian as in aunties and cousins, i visit there but never wanted to live there.

Who wants children with american accents, i don't.

My auntie lives in the hills it is beautiful (she still flies a British flag), but.

Always pleased to come home.

i'd move to the US tbh and spend most of my time there..

they seem to have tons of cool hobby shops and stuff scattered all over unlike england :@

As many others have posted I'd have somewhere in the UK and somewhere abroad, quite possibly australia so I could enjoy nice weather during the UK's winter.

Definitely maybe.

I fell in love with Scandinavia when I've been to visit, Denmark is a beautiful place, and I'd love to live either in France or the States

I'd miss family and I'd miss English football and some other random bits and bobs about English life.

I've decided I want to be a primary school teacher, so I don't know if that would help me move to any of the places I've mentioned. I'm by no means unhappy living here either.

I'm going to learn French (never paid much attention at School) and try my hand at picking up some Danish (I know a bit) and I want to travel much more but would enjoy moving away from England (if only for a few years) in the future.

I don't think I've travelled enough to make that kind of decision. I'm more than happy to live here, especially if was able to move to a more affluent area of London.

I would defintiely go back to the UK more often if money allowed, nice as it is out here there are some things which are priceless about living where you are from, like not being asked if you are an Australian a dozen times a day.

Same here, keep getting asked if I'm from aus. Although I got asked if I was swedish last week..... but that's yanks for you.

What's stopping you Von?

Have you ever tried learning Finnish? That's what would be stopping me. ;)

As for the original question, I might leave England or indeed the UK in the next few years but it's not really an issue of having enough money to do so, beyond enough of a sum to initially cover expenses that's not a great worry. However I wouldn't be leaving because I don't like the UK or because I think elsewhere is necessarily better, I'd be leaving because I want to try living somewhere else and if I enjoy it then that's great, if not at least I've had the experience.

Would still keep a base here, although probably in another area.

Would be great to be able to travel the world with nothing meaning the travels have to end until you get bored or fancy a rest, so whether I'd spend much time here i don't know.
