Convince me not to GTX 570 SLI @ 1080p

Easyrider!

Do you have your PC set up to run on your projector!?... Diablo III/ BF3 @ 90"+...

I ask cos i might be getting my hands on a second hand projector from the bay, might only be at 720p tho.

I'm thinking of the same thing once i get a 120Hz monitor for super smooth gameplay, but will prbably wait until Oct or Christmas to add the second 570.

I dont game on the screen..Only with the PS3...FPS games have to be played on a monitor with keyboard and mouse;)

M8, that is sooooo old fashioned. What a waste of a chance for big screen gaming. I play all fps on mine and the KB&M thing is easy to sort out. :)

Oh, and you seriously need to get a bigger PJ screen. All that space and your screen is looking tiny. Fill that space!! :D

I find FPS games less immersive on th PJ. If I'm sat in the dark with my headphones on in front of my 24" I feel more involved,

Driving games are a different matter though.

EDIT: I have lowered the screen and ditched the TV looks far better.I need to update some pics :)

Furry muff, I find the exact opposite............ but each to their own etc blah blah.

Still reckon you should get a bigger screen. ;)

Oh, and on the SLI question.........I was thinking 'yeah man do it, why not' until I saw how small your screen looked in that room and I thought 'nah spend the dough on a new screen'! :D

Do it 470 SLI here and no regrets.

Don't waste time with 3D Vision tho (despite what a certain person says I have never hyped this up)

I would recommend it for fast paced FPS games with a 120hz monitor and no vsync. I think racing games are less sensitive in the 30-60 fps range and eye candy is a bit wasted outside of replays.

Really really NOT worth it. I went from GTX480 SLI to a single 480 and have not noticed a difference within the games I play. My resolution is 1920x1200 and multiple cards seem to be more trouble than they are worth unless you go ultra-high res.

IMO SLI'd GTX480/570/580's are only good for benchmarks and gaming @ 2560+ res.

Wait a second, weren't you the one who down graded from a 6950 2GB to a 460 and then was wanting to upgrade to a 560TI and instead you got the 570 all for the reason that the 6950 2GB was overkill for your resolution and what you needed it for and now you want another 570?

Or something like that.

EDIT:

O wait, that is for your other system, right?

And also yes completely stupid for your current res unless you intend on running a benchmark program all day, just trying to beat your previous score by a point or so :p

Why bother? it was only a week or 2 ago you were looking to down grade after you sold your 6950 because you were not gaming much. Seems like a dramatic u-turn to now be thinking about gtx570 sli.

He most likely got bored of watching movies on his new 92" screen and now wants go back to gaming..or needs

Or this is normally what happens with me....
I Buy something new, play around with it for a week or so and then get bored of it and go back to my PC :D

Yeah you're right. I just got back into metro and Deus ex looks good and its raining outside

Metro would happily munch thru a second card but most other things it's just cos u know ur fps is higher rather than actually noticing anything i think ;) But i'm looking forward to doing the same :D

Dont do it Easy, you know what will happen. You will play with the cards for a bit, bench them in Heaven, 3DMark 11 or whatever it is etc etc and once the initial buzz subsides and you realise you can play all your games with one 570, you'll regret it, sell both cards for a new 7***series and then do it all again. Great in it! Go on you know you want to. LOL.:D;)
