To be honest, not really but level 30 does mean you have all the rune slots available and runes are a huge part of the game.

You can also play ranked at 30 and I can see ranked getting more popular now they're offering rewards at the end of a season.

If people didn't get so protective about their ranked scores ranked would be popular now so I don't see this changing any time soon :)

It's difficult to grind out of the low-elo as this late in the season low-elo is just filled with trolls and little kids. I like ranked cos of the play style but you can almost guarantee that there's a troll/kid on at least one of the teams which doesn't make it fun.

I don't really care for my rating (although I do want to keep it bronze til the end of the season) but if you start playing ranked this late in the season it's too easy to lose a lot of rating and then it becomes a vicious cycle.

Hopefully season 2 will be better since people start on a more even playing field and hopefully there'll be less trolls etc.
 
I know what you are saying but I don't think it's an end of season thing myself. But definitely prefer the format of ranked games to normal games
 
i have to say, the amount of emo kids on LoL is unreal :D, im not amazing at the game by any stretch, i have a little bet to myself before a game starts, how long it will take till i see the word ''feeder'' followed by abuse.

i will be doing very well, then i have 1 bad game, and thats it, im a retard, go l2p etc :D, hilarious, i try and help people if there struggling in a lane, others just bash them for being bad, it makes me wonder what people feel like if there a new pc gamer, to buy a game for £15-£40, and log in, just to be abused because your not very good.

but you do get a few pleasant games :), and im guessing its better in ranked, but im very much enjoying it.

Come play ranked with me and I'll carry you. Need to get everyone on the server to at least silver before it finishes.

Tals, no-one really cares about their ranked elo. Well, maybe solo queue but I mean no-one on our server does that. There's nothing more fun then just playing ranked 5s for the laugh, as your actual rating matters 0 in that mode :D

On that note, missing you mate. It's been way too long since I got carried by your Ashe.

Blimey what games have you been playing - anything up to an hour tbh, the game works that way unfortunately. Unless the opposing team take advantage of early wins the losing team can tend to start to catch up on item builds which draws the game out. All depends on if you hit the surrender button or not :)

But yes same as normal - the only difference between normal and ranked is you see what people are picking so you can counter pick and a champion can only be used by either side. Way better imho

hehe noooo my Ashe never carried - when you carried your Ammu, but agreed we need to get together more, I think we have ended up with 2 communities on mumble - maybe more tbh, a lot of it is my fault but would be better if it was one happy family. But not sure if we can pull it off :(

I'm up for the challenge though :)

I've not had much time this past couple of weeks but hopefully I'll be on a bunch over this weekend/next week :)

Also Tals, completely agree. The mumble group is a bit fragmented at the moment. I think it's mainly down to some people wanting to play the game more seriously (or less seriously for that matter) than others so some people don't want to play with others for whatever reason, or should I say some people only want to play with certain people :)

For anyone on mumble, I know I got a few invites to play last night but I was pretty knackered so just did a couple of quick ranked games then fell asleep in my chair. Riding 25 miles on my new bike really took it out of me :)

Yep it became like that - a perception so then those people as principal wouldn't invite the other way to the point its become very obvious :) There are other reasons as well but the *** for tat did kind of explode :)

I ought to add I'm guilty of it as well. There's so many people on mumble these days I haven't got a clue who half of them are!

hmm, that sounds interesting, only one of the same character in a game, i better start picking up on some other characters then! i cant keep rolling with just Tryn or ill most probably have some trouble in ranked.

Definitely - I should have mentioned before the game gets started 2 champs are banned from either side :)
