Ordered one of the 6950s as soon as they came up on the site. I was going to go elsewhere if it was £220 but £205 is too good to turn down especially as you are getting two free games, both of which I'm sure to get a lot of hours out of.

I'd be tempted to say wait for the 7xxx 6xx cards to but then again for that price and with that cooler the 6950 is a bargian and will max pretty much any game.

That ram is a bargain!
 
That ram is ever so tempting... you could get 16 gb for £80 lol thats insane

I have one of those Twin Frozr 6950's already and have been debating CF with another one just a shame payday aint anytime soon for me =P

EDIT : Just realised the ram is limited to 1 set per customer.. still an awesome price for 8gb under £40!

hmm kingston for £40 or corsair vengeance lp for £47? the kingston is today only while the corsair isn't(tho the price may change by the time I come to order).

on the note of the corsair will the standard vengeance have issues with a arctic freezer 7 pro rev2?

btw I wouldn't be getting a motherboard and processor(i2500k) for abit so worth getting the ram now? just spent £1000 or so on a new monitor(u2711) and 2x sapphire 6950 toxic so going to hold off for a bit before upgrading the q6600.
 
I registered today simply to say I pulled the trigger on both the daily deals.

I was deciding between the MSI 6950 and the MSI 560GTX TI so I'm glad I found this offer and made my choice easy for me.

Considering that there is only £5 difference between the cards right now, you get a hell of a lot more going with the 6950. More performance, lower power draw, lower heat, lower noise and Deus Ex (worth £29.99 on steam) AND Dirt 3 AANNDD the chance that it might unlock to a 6970 for even more performance! No brainer as far as I'm concerned.

Also the ram, which I didn't really need, was so disgustingly cheap that I had to buy it.

Now all I need to do is find somewhere selling cheap i5 2500k and OCZ Vertex 3 and I'll be sorted :)

aye was gonna grab a few for my upgrade later this year, just not decided wether with be dual or tri channel yet, woulda covered all bases lol
 
I ordered the MSI ATi card, will see significant improvements over the stock ATI card that came with my HP tower. Just hope my 500W PSU will be enough
