You're not factoring in the ultra settings which according to dice is very demanding on systems. People seem to be basing performance on the alpha which was lacking lots of options.

Im sure therell be a lot more options to tweak in the beta. Moh is a pretty smooth running game for me, on max settings @1920x1200, 4x aa, 16x af im hitting 180fps.

80 max in the tunnels section on the alpha.

Maybe so but the alpha didn't have dx11 effects like Tessellation, video options did next to nothing, destruction on that map according to dice was toned down a lot for the alpha as well. The alpha was not a good indicator of performance in any way. Beta apparently will have Tessellation included, whether it has any actual video setting that do anything will be interesting. :)

Got to love the resolution snobbery

Funny, no really quite funny. I cant see how its snobbery when realistically 1900x1200 isnt a particular high rez its mid to high in the grand scale, and someone who feels the need to chuck 800 quids worth of gfx cards at it and doesnt think BF3 will play on high and would consider 2 590's isnt thinking the same as most people. Thats potentially 1 thousand two hundred pounds on gfx cards to run a game on a mid sized screen, its hard to figure.

Perhaps getting a bigger and higher rez screen would be better use of the money?

Yup, I have no plans to update my GTX560Ti as I only have a 22" monitor that is native to 1920x1080. It will run the game good enough for me to play it, and besides, I have much more important things to spend a few hundred quid on.

I'm getting 70-80fps on MoH and Battlefield 3 didn't seem a lot different to look at, I know that BF3 will look superb with DX11 and I would imagine that Hi-Resolution Textures will already be with it.

Wheres this coming from?

I think it its to do with that change to the battlelog website, they said battle log will be back 1th (typo) of september. People are taking that to mean they meant 1st of september, or even 11th (missed the one). They promptly took it off.

Apparntly, I never saw the screen grab but thats what has been said.
