new build problem

I am swapping my rampage 2 to an EVGA Classified and the system won't boot with my seasonic 900w PSU yet boots up fine with a Corsair 1000w. I know the seasonic is older tech but if it can power the rampage the surely it should be ok with the evga? Could it be an issue with power to CPU? Help!!!!

Do you mean the system boots with the Evga board fitted using the 1000w psu, but not the 900w psu ?

Is it the Seasonic X900 Power Supply?, i think this model is from 2007? this beast has a peak output of over 1,000 watts according to research.

Thanks, yes, the EVGA boots with a 1050 psu, but not with mine, yet my psu boots up my rampage rig???
