.. thats literally how i feel after 4 days searching for a touchpad lol. its upopened. should it stay this way ? or should i just enjoy the sleek bit of kit. was 399 from the purple t shirt guys for 16gb. slim as hell!

Open it and enjoy it you fool! In my opinion its a far superior piece of kit compared to the touchpad, was going to plump for one myself however managed to nab a touchpad at the cheapo rate so this will do me until Tegra 3 tablets are released. Then I'm kicking the touchpad to the kerb!

okay ill open it :) could always sell for 300 when tegra 3 comes out, as tegra 3 is supposed to be 3x the performance so i can justify a basically £100 uppgrade. do tablets deplete in price usually ?

I think selling for £100 loss is quite realistic for a 6 monthish old tablet, they tend to hold their value quite well as they're still seen as new and exciting pieces of gadgetry.

open it and enjoy it, I was lucky and got a touchpad but I'll be replacing it with android/win 8 when quad slates come around. The touchpad for £89 (I got 16gb) is great but it has a few minor issues (the damn bounce when you go off the 'screen' in the browser especially annoys me!!) which I think will just annoy me too much in the long run, having said that I've not done any of the preware tweaks yet.

the scroll bounce lsg1r? If so, android has that too...
not the scroll bounce like when in lists or bottom of a long page. How can I describe it - imagine website is filling screen, you drag finger across screen and the 'webpage' moves off the screen and the springs back into place again... damned annoying and also stops several javascript features from working

Very nice, I just bought the Hannspad. Cant justify spending too much on a tablet PC since it's not something I'll use a lot.

IMHO,WebOS is just nicer for multi-tasking than Android 3 ATM. However,it still slower than it needs to be,but TBH you can make it run quicker by switching off logging and doing some other tweaks:

However, the lacks of apps is the main concern but preware helps negate that a bit and there is an attempt to enable Android apps to run in WebOS:

OTH,once Android 3 is ported to the TouchPad it is going to make the Galaxy Tab 10.1 look underpowered.

The SOC in the HTC Sensation is basically the same in HP Touchpad 16GB and 32GB but with radio added.

The TouchPad CPU at around 1.2GHZ is slightly quicker than the 1GHZ Tegra2. However, the SOC in the TouchPad is underclocked as the 64GB version has it running at 1.5GHZ and the SOC in the 16GB and 32GB versions is the same.

On top of this the Adreno 220 is around 15% to 100% faster than the Tegra2 at the same resolution in RightWare Basemark ES 2.0,GLBenchmark 2.0 and Quadrant 3D.

The screen also seems to be a similar to the one found in the iPad and iPad2.

i know its off topic but for the price you probably paid (£150) whats it like as in theory i know the hardware spec is all there... just whether the quality of it and software run well as to whether its worth considering if the hp touchpad firesale ends for sure.
sorry to the OP for going offtopic!

Never been so excited to wake up and use it aha its definitely a buy. Id never swap it with an ipad theyre horrible. I spent equal time with all tablets inc the ipad, its childlike and fool proof and i hqte that it dosent have flash and is 4:3. I dont regret spending 399 on this and thats saying something cos im tight.

You have the Rolls Royce of Android tablets, enjoy. :)

Serious question.

What does it do better than the Transformer, is the only advantage of the Transformer the dock system?

If I wanted an Android tablet, I'd probably get the 10.1 as well. I just don't 'feel' the ASUS.

Well if Flash is important, the iPad is clearly no good is it. It would appear the plus points of it have gone sailing over your head though.

I like how you said something being fool proof is a bad thing, are you a fool? Is that why you dislike it? :D

It’s been said many times before. It comes down to weight, size, screen quality, build quality and there is TouchWiz UX. Whether it is held one or two handed the 10.1 wins by a clear margin because of those properties. It is a lasting pleasure to use. The Xoom and Transformer (and now the Touchpad)just don't give you that.

Very well!
