I don't follow the game and have no idea what the rules are but I did give it a watch this afternoon. I have to say I found it quite on 'edge of seat' watching it, even though I had no idea what was happening. Wigan started off well but fell to pieces at the end of the first half, then Leeds dominated second half I thought. Leeds where unlucky on a few decisions that could have won them the game, ref seemed to favour Wigan though.

Agreed... 2 tries of dodgy decisions. Still a very exciting game. I'm pretty much a neutral, but generally support Leeds cos my mate who first got me watching league supports them.

I can think of four of the top of my head.

The forward pass that led to a try.
The dangerous tackle on Delany that led to a try.
The scum going to Wigan after the ball went out off a Wigan player.
Lului's try being given as "benefit of the doubt" when it clearly wasnt a try.

Get down to some games! I can understand that the rules may make the game harder to get into, but there are a few rules of thumb that get you by, especially when it comes to what makes a good kick. I thought the Wire - Wigan game has been the highlight of the competition though, was an unbelievable game and the atmosphere looked great.

Was a great game, watched it in the pub!

aww diddums, amount of crap Wigan get over the years its worth it!

Wigan always get in front and lose the plot, use to do it a lot years ago.

Aye probably agree with most of that. Still no mention whatsoever of Tomkins misdemeanor. A real lack of class and dignity in victory.

He will get a ban, chatted to him a few times in my local gym hes a sound bloke.

Don't get me wrong, he's a great player and I for one am jealous of Wigan for having him play for them. I'd definately rather have him on the inside spitting out than on the outside spitting in.

Not long to go and it will be my Catalan trip! Taking the plane from Manchester, Friday to Monday, intend to have a royally good time getting drunk in the bars in the square! Just hope we win aswell!

Edge of the seat stuff in the end, thought at first we were going to see a few record win margins broken. I think Wigan edged it in the end, only just though. Was a deffinate forward pass and touch and go that last try but well done Wigan all apart from Sam Tompkins, never liked him and even less so now after his v sign.

Diddums?? wtf? Wigan are known as cheats because they broke the salary cap years ago and its stuck.

In fairness to Wigan in the game they played by the Ref, who was wrong.

Tomkins wont get a ban because hes the RFL love child. Im glad we was average today maybe he will stop being so arogant and just get on with playing rugby, which, as a Warrington fan, he is good at in the attacking sense.

I have a feeling Tompkins is going to be lined up for one almighty tackle one day that will knock him out sparko just hope I am watching the game when it happens

"Someone else mentioned that to me," he said. "I really don't know what it is."

Perhaps this may jog your memory:

And this will be my last post on the matter before I completely alienate any Wigan fans!

Typical jealous other clubs :) enjoy watching us win the last silverware we didn't own already.

If Sam Tomkins two fingers are upsetting people, its a good job there were no internet forums when Edwards/Offiah/Bell ("they can't run without their heads") etc were playing. PCs would have spontaneously combusted in Yorkshire. 34 huge blokes spend 80 minutes knocking the poop out of each other and such a fuss about that?

I thought Leeds were the better team for about 45 minutes but allowed Wigan too much space in the first half. They seem to have the tactics and players to deal with Wigan a lot better than most other teams and they could be a real handful in the final.

There were no more dubious decisions in this game than any other game. The officials got a few calls wrong for both teams. The ref didn't penalise for offside, square at the ptb, lying on through the whole game, nor did he pick up any forward passes (and there were plenty for both teams).

Good weekend (made better by a Wigan win) and we had a great craic with supporters from all over the place.

Wayne Rooney got absolutely slaughtered for swearing into the camera (not at fans), so it would be a bit of a double standard in the modern game of RL for something like that to go unpunished.

And I agree with your second point really. One week they go for you, others, they don't.

What's done is done. Lets move onto next weeks fixtures!! :)

Praying on a Hull FC win, yes you read that right, a Hull FC win! I think Rovers best chance of the playoffs comes at the expense of Castleford. FC have the incentive to beat them to keep themselves in the playoffs and we HAVE to beat Castleford to get into the playoffs aswell. A win at Catalan makes things a helluva lot more interesting (but its going to be a TOUGH game), assuming FC do us a favour. I'm gonna do my best from the Catalan west stand though!

In other news, we have signed Misi Taulupapa from Sheffield Eagles. I have literally no idea how good he is, but is probably going to be our new full back. Any heard anything about him? What is more concerning is that we continue to make signings without a coach in place!!!!! Grrr!

Wayne Rooney ran 20m to clearly swear into the camera, a bit different to flicking a V for 2 seconds. All the Leeds fans I spoke to in the bars and pubs round Wembley in the couple of hours after the game were a bit naffed off with the video ref decision (which could have gone either way tbh), but no mention was made of the V sign. Its only when it was picked up on TV that it got made into anything. I could find something technically wrong with almost all the tries scored by both teams after watching the game on TV.

Wire-Wigan this weekend. This will be a tough one and I think that Wire might come out on top and claim the League Leaders shield. Looks like Charnley, Mossop and O'Loughlin will struggle and Tomkins could face a ban as part of the RFLs policy to ensure he is playing in the RU 6 Nations in 2 years time :(
