Hello
Im after a new pc that will increase my e-peen massively... looking for something (very/uber) powerful and (very) quiet.
Gaming on 1920x1200 (for now
) w/ everything on MAX with the possibility of a 2 or 3 screen set up in the future...
I have come up with this...
YOUR BASKET
2 x MSI GeForce GTX 580 Lightning 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
1 x Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
1 x Corsair Professional Series AX1200 High Performance 1200W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply (CMPSU-1200AXUK)
1 x Silverstone Fortress 2 FT02B-W Windowed Gaming Case - Black
1 x OCZ Vertex 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive (VTX3-25SAT3-120G)
1 x Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-00765)
1 x Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9)
1 x Corsair Hydro H80 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366/LGA2011/AM2/AM3)
1 x LG BH10LS30 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW Drive - Black (Retail)
1 x Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD20EARX)
Total : £1,855.84 Delivered.

+ An Asus Xonar DX 7.1 which I already own.
(i7 isnt needed, just wanted. The OCZ SSD is actually the Max IOPs version and the FT02b-W is the latest usb 3.0 revision)
This should last me a couple of years (at least) without any problems right?
The only thing I'm not overly sure on is the 1.5GB graphics cards... I've read a lot of reviews/forums/etc on how much vram is used/needed and haven't seem to come up with a straight answer. As an alternative to 2 x 580 Lightnings (I want ultra/stupidly high FPS), I'm thinking about getting the 3GB Lightning XE card now, and another later on when more screens are purchased... But I'll probs not get around to it so thought it would be 'best' to get it all in one go
Would you buy this for £1855 if you had the cash?
Peoples thoughts? Have I missed anything (compatibility etc?)
