Christmas preperations in August - I **** you not

Nothing unheard of, the other day I was fetching stock from back of house in Selfridges and noticed a trolley labelled 'Christmas stuff' standing in the corridor. Was sort of wondering when they'd haul it all out as well...

I have got my Christmas presents sorted already, finished them off the week just gone.

Oh wait, no I never.

I saw the Roses and Quality Streets in my local Tesco this evening at £5, the thought of Christmas did occur to me, but it's not as if there's anything Christmassy on the tin or a law that says you can't eat them when it's not Christmas.

Probably trying to get rid of them ready for the Christmas-design tins coming in.

With regards to the pub, it's standard practice I think. There's a carvery near me and they've had their Christmas menu out complete with tree and fake snow at this time for years.

costco has all their trees and decorations on sale. i mean wtf i'm in buying stuff for my summery bbq xmas is the last thing on my mind

I didn't get a tree last year, can't wait to get one this year! Has to be real. If I could get one now, I would! Love Christmas tree shopping.

I actually love Christmas, and genuinely can't wait for it.

Gonna buy loads of presents for everyone n junk. EEEEP!!! :D

In related news, who is organising OCUK secret santa this year? I'm going to make sure I participate this time
I believe that isn't happening this year because of a few bad eggs last Christmas that failed to send a present, yet were happy to receive theres :(.

Hate it. Waste of money propogated by the media and business to keep the sheep spending money they don't have buying crap they don't need. If it wasn't more than my life is worth I wouldn't indulge at all. As it is I pretty much just spoil my 5 year old nephew and that's it.
