thats fair enough del was just pointing out that no profit should be made as it could be done so easily .

it wasnt aimed at you it was at the basic concept which if abused could cause arguements later on. so best get everything clear before the off ;)

this is all done and everyone knows where they stand :cool: good luck with the contributors to the server . me myself wouldnt let everyone admin only two at most but that is my op.

tefal i ment to just add those people on here who have paid pre ordered servers and defintley going to have them up for ocuk members.

that way we all know who has servers up ready to go :cool:
 
I always found the better servers in BC2 to play on were those that had regular admins playing to keep things under control and kick numpties who were griefing or cheating. So with a few admins around the chances are at least one of us will be around at any given time. I will retain master admin and have the account with the GSP of course just in case. If it fails at the first hurdle, we'll not continue the server but I am hoping everyone want to make this a success.
 
More and more GSPs are starting to offer BF3 servers, some don't show much detail but I'll keep updating the list on the first post. i3d.net added @ 96p per slot. No idea about discounts for multiple months etc.
 
Sorry if you've already covered this, but if I end up getting BF3 a little late (e.g. a week or two after release) are you flexible to the idea of me/others joining in the server stuff then rather than in advance?

I'm trying to hold out for it to come out on steam...then eventually give up when it doesn't and buy it anyhow.
 
It's not coming out on Steam. If it does it'll be in years surely, so you're just denying yourself the chance to play the game.

Im sure Delboy will be pleased to have you. Also it aint coming to steam so just get on the bandwagon and join us:D
 
Yup, no steam release for BF3. If you joined after we've paid for it I'd have to give everyone a small refund for the difference so if given that it probably won't be on steam you can join us earlier :)

I guess we should just order a server about a week before the offical release date (28th Oct) to give us a good chance of getting a deal with a GSP.

Lol why is this such a difficult concept to grasp? It's whatever the cost of the server is for say 3 months / number of people.

So if the server cost £165 for 3 months and there were 10 people, they would each pay £16.50 up front (which equates to £5.50 per month). However as I've stated, I'm not going to be taking monthly payments from people so they will have to pay £16.50 up front. Understood?

The best rate so far is with KillerCreation who charge £0.96 per slot with a further discount for the more months you buy.

Also maybe it aint the best way to go for the cheapest server, i rather pay the bit more like mutiplay and have a quality server.

I'm up for this Delboy, not enough time to commit for hardcore clan stuff but I'm usually about for an hour or so an evening, sometimes quite late, more on weekends. Your plans sound compatible with my style :) I play for fun not kdr/stats
