So what do you guys run it on? I tried it with full settings but the lag was horrible (this is on very high) but runs perfectly fine on just "high" - not quite sure what was causing me the issue. I'd have thought my spec would let me play it on full :(

the game has a stuttering fps drop bug issue, stupid Eidos or whoever are lazy bunch of noobs who cant even address the situation, theres hundreds of thousands out there with the same issue.

Im finding my 2.8 c2d and 280m run it on high all but the SSDO (or whatever it is). I guess thats becasue its made well.
On the other hand the Witcher 2 brings my laptop to it knees. Its the first game to do so.

These are the first two 'new' games ive played in ages. The Witcher 2 even on low setting at a reduced rez to my native is just about getting 30fps. But i guess they made it specifically for high end PC's where as 90% of the population dont have high end PC's so that where Deus Ex sits nicely.

I run max everything vsync and triple buffer at 2048x1152 (Win XP DX9)

Phenom II tri-core @3.5GHz, 4GB DDR, 5850 (stock).

I get the odd stutter when entering new locations (sounds like HDD reading) but that aside the game runs like silk.

I wonder if it's related to controller support? Kane & Lynch and Prototype both stutter on my PC unless I disable the multimedia driver for my keyboard. The games think the keyboard is a game controller for some reason, and can't cope with it.

I run at high settings with a few things turned down or off. The frame rate is good for the most part - in the 70s and 80s during missions - but when wondering around cities it fluctuates between 40 and 70 fps and results in huge amounts of jerkovision.

Very high? I don't see a very high option?

using the latest Cats and profiles I genuinely do not notice any "lag" and You have a better spec than me (sig)

I7 920 @3.6
5870 @ 900/1250
6GB

Settings are:

1920 * 1200
FXAA HIGH
(I find this more appealing than MLAA but noticed no difference in performance) - To be honest AA in this game leaves a bit to be desired as I still notice jaggies even if I force AA in the driver settings - is this the same for everyone??

16x Aniso
Soft Shadows
SSAO = High
DOF = High

Tesselation, V-sync, post processing and triple buffering are all ticked.

EDIT: I am running this on an SSD btw

and I also get that tiny bit of jerkyness right after you load but it goes pretty much instantly after you shake the mouse.

EDIT 2: now have fraps running and it will not go below 57 and stays above 60 for 95% of the time rest at an average of 72 I'd say - I'm turning Vsync back on now a I cant stant the tearing. This is in Shanghai btw so if there is a better location to test I'd like to know.

Pretty tired, I was thinking of metro 2033 with the settings options :)

I think with SSAO on high is what causes my problem.. well at least I looked over the edge inside the bit with the typhoon with the room full of computers and a few men in.. and my fps died!

All settings maxed out, 1680x1050 res, I get 50+fps with a single stock GTX470 and with it overclocked OR SLI enabled I get 90+ most of the time.

Get horrid stuttering especially around transitional areas of the maps tho - but without change to the actual fps readout - possibly due to legacy console opptimisations as I notice the game seems to try and reduce its memory and VRAM footprint on the fly as much as possible and stutter seems to happen at the same time.

I've tried running off SSD, single mechanical HDD and RAID mechanical HDDs without any change to the stuttering.

I'm running at 6048x1080; MLAA; normal shadows; trilinear filtering; normal SSAO and DOF; tesselation, v-sync, post-processing, triple buffering all on - and it's smooth enough 90% of the time. I have noticed the odd stutter like Rroff mentions though.

Core i5 750 @ 4GHz, single Radeon 6970 with 11.8 drivers and 11.8 CAP2

6048!? You using a projector.. onto the moon!? I think tbh its the SSAO feature but I'm not sure I'll have to test it out.

Metro 2033 rapes my system on very high which is disappointing because I thought I had a winning system.. but on just "high" its fine.. no stutter at all..

maxed out 120-140fps w/no v-sync, v-sync on sits nicely at 60fps 99% of the time. Using 11.7 with latest CAPS @ 1920x1080. As for metro I think I have more 'high' than 'very', prefer a smooth frame rate over some visuals your never going to notice in a game like that...

Running it on every setting maxed, 1920x1200 DX11, no lag whatsoever.

I didn't actually know the game supported eyefinity, going to try it now :D
