8 rotors + 4 turbos + 2800hp = lolwut?

The figures for the basic car

n basic form, its power will come from a 2.6-litre, four-rotor, twin-turbo rotary engine. This will, its creators assure the world via their website, produce 1200hpand 1110lb ft of torque, running on E85 bio-ethanol and yet produce the emissions of a car with just 120hp.

Performance should be equally impressive, with 62mph dealt with in less than 3.0secs, 125mph reached in less than 7.0secs, and 250mph from rest on the cards in 25.0secs.

Seem about right. The other one ? not so much.

It also runs on E85 bio-ethanol so should be popular with environmentalists :p;)
Not really. I'm an environmentalist and I struggle with the ethics of changing food crops (which already aren't sufficient to feed everyone) to fuel crops. On top of that there's the fact that to make more land area the rainforests are being cleared and the environmental impacts of land use change are aruably greater than the savings than can be made by using bio fuels :p

Cool car though. I want to see eight rotor quad turbo :D

in short, it's energy negative :p

Im not so sure it is right, the Rx8 is quoted as a 2.7l and has a CO2 figure of 284g/km. I fail to see how a twin turbo version producing 1200hp can be so much more powerful while producing considerably less emissions

Personaly I think it's a great waste of your school holidays to spend it in your bedroom knocking up a website about a fantasy car (sorry, a photoshopped Ferrari) with impossible performance stats.

RX8 is 1.3l. The power they're aiming for is believably I reckon. Agreed with you on the emission front though - unless the fuel type is that much better? I have no idea how it compares to petrol!
