I wouldn't go that far to be honest. Its definitely not one of the worst games ever made, its just vastly different from the first one, which really confused everyone who had played Far Cry originally, loved the storyline and setting and then get thrust straight into a fully open non linear FPS game with respawning enemies, just like red faction guerilla.

For what it is, the game isn't that bad at all really. The only thing I really disliked about it the last time I had a serious stab at playing it was the malaria gimmick where you had to find a new source for your tablets before you ran out, which reminded me too much of dead rising 2 with the whole zombrex drug gimmick which ruined that game for me too.
 
The only minor annoyance I have with this is that it was free a while back.

FC1 is great until the aliens come - this then ruins the game for me. FC2 is just awfulness.

Far Cry 1 was (and still is) an awesome game. Far Cry 2 wasn't as awful as people make out, it just wasn't Far Cry. The best fun to be had with it is to forget the story and spend time trying to run over animals in the jeep :D.
 
The FC2 trailers looked awesome, in reality, if a giraffe spots you in the distance, he seems to alert all the enemy in the area and they all swarm towards you.

Really didn't like that game

Not really. You'll get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of a pint than Far Cry 2. It's an abortion of a game where before you even get to control your character you're dying from malaria and everyone in the game world hates you.

Its fine that you dont like it, to use words like abortion to describe it is ludicrous, many people have got great enjoyment out of it. me included.
 
dont let me get into this again.......

FC2 needed to be nuked from orbit. It was an absolute rubbish.
.checkpoints respawn after 5 mins.
.missions took 30 mins to get to, then you had to spend another 30 mins get back to base to do another pointless mission, to kill someone.
.AI never seemed to die, you could waste a whole mag and they are still standing.
.AI are so intelligent they know exactly where you are.
.AI vehicles have nitro.

I got to about 88% complete and gave up that was after 22hrs of playing over 2 weeks.

and what was with the god damn weapon jam, in a middle of a firefight "oh no weapon has jamed" boom dead" now have to spend another 30 god damn minutes getting to the mission, utter retardish.
