FARCRY MIDWEEK MADNESS 75% OFF STEAM

Id say it's worth the £3 for both, tho I do agree FC2 was not great but I was compairing it to FC1, FC2 in it's own right is an ok game, I just hope they do not make the same mistakes in FC3...
 
Already had Far Cry 2 that came with my graphics card and whilst I found it so boring and disappointing, for just over £3 (So much for a kebab or fish & chips!) for the Fortune's Edition and the first game, it's a very good deal regardless of the hate.
 
I played the Xbox version of FC1 years ago and I don't remember it being that great. As soon as you get your feral powers you can pretty much just speed run the entire game.
 
XBOX version may as well be a completely different game, differs massivey.

A little off topic, i'd still pay £15-£20 for Far Cry today if it was just being released even with the older gen graphics, it's THAT good!
 
geeeeeeeeezzz far cry is HARD, first mission i have to rambo my way into an army base full of soldiers and i can't hide inside the barracks type buildings due to them shooting THROUGH the walls :(

i did it though, now im on the joy riding with the jeep bit :)

Thought exactly the same when I read it. I guess he means the start of the primagens (if I remember rightly) about half way through the game which start in that jurassic park style holding pen/camp place lol.
 
Remember playing FarCry for the first time and being amazed by the graphics and ragdoll physics. Even though the storyline was bad it still was fun to play through. Definitely worth it for the meager money. Mutiplayer was great fun before Punkbuster ruined it. Have some great memories of it.

I'm probably one of the few people who also liked Far Cry 2. Yeah, the storyline was terrible and the gameplay repetitive with side missions all the same and re-spawning checkpoints but for just messing around I quite liked it. It's basically like a tech demo with guns really. A shame as the game was quite polished and well made. Still worth the money though and you should at least give it a chance. The multiplayer was terrible though.
 
Hated FC2, silly re-spawning check point guards the second your out of sight....so many deaths! And miles and miles of nothing......within which you have a giant fog horn and glaring neon sign to alert all enemies within the entire map to your presence......fun.
 
Far Cry was a great game.

Far Cry II was a great game, just very repetitive, which basically ruined it for me and I didn't really enjoy the story much. Looked stunning though :)
