You would think that in hard times Police forces would really try and concentrate their efforts on the important things.

No, they are hiding in bushes in their efforts to penalise the general public who they are supposed to protect and serve.

Disgusting.

Spot the Officer anyone?

Fricking disgusting. I cannot believe supposed real men can actually go home to their families and look them in the eye after behaving like that.

They're catching people speeding, not forcibly removing new born babies from families. Get some perspective.

Yeah, lets see if you have that opinion when your house is being burgled, and they cant attend immediately as they are "too busy"

But as long as they have police hiding in bushes its ok right?

Ye man, it's just this simple!!!!111

All Police are just police who sit around waiting for murderers, burglarists and rapizoids to strike then mobilise like the imperial fleet to catch them.

YEAH

LOL.......this is nothing compared to the copper that got me for speed dangerous (74mph in a 35mph zone)

The one that got me was hiidden behind the trees at the edge of a forest which was behind a wire fence and he was wearing normal plain clothes...
and was not stopping anyone, just taking there plate numbers and phoning later to tell you been done for *** speed and you need come to the police station...
They said it was an undercover operation.

It really doesnt inspire confidence from the general public that its anything to do with safety.

I mean look at it!!!! A steady stream of monotonous commuter traffic probably, and the odd CRIMINAL doing a few mph over the limit. SO DANGEROUS.

Similar thing the other day on the Burcot road between Abingdon & Berinsfield around here near Oxford. Hiding in a hedge in a 30 stretch of wide A-road where literally everybody safely speeds along at ~50 :(

I sit on the fence. Much as we hate speed guns pointed at us, by the same token, anyone staying within the speed limit shouldn't be panicking and slamming the brakes on. Why would they? Also, everyone knows that we all slow down when we're approaching a speed camera, and that is aided by advance speed camera alerts on our sat navs. Then we speed up again. What the police are doing is trying to stop drivers speeding by more effective methods. I'm just seeing it from their point of view. But I certainly don't want to come across one, as I, like many, often do a little more than 30, in a 30.

I wouldn't go so far to say they are scum but those tactics are definately underhand and possibly quite dangerous.

Imagine doing a shade over 30 in a 30 zone (e.g 32-33) and then seeing the officers hiding. You would instantly hammer the brake to slow down, even if in reality you were probably OK as speedo's are normally a little out.

Cops are cops. They are doing their job. Yes most of us don't like them. I for one hate Cops. But you just move on. If your legit, not speeding then your all good.
