Power needed for 2 6950's

I'm wanting to know this too, Currently got a 500w psu and looking to go dual 6950's in the near future, I know I'd need a better psu but I cant afford expensive
 
A 'good quality' 650 watt should be enough. You might want to allow for a little more headroom and consider a 700 - 750, but that would be down to budget and other needs like many hard drives etc. I have actually seen some folk use a 600 watt, though I think that might be cutting it fine.

how many more threads do you need to create before you get the idea that 650w should just about cope with 6950 crossfire? tho it would be better if it was 700/750w but still.

p.s. you could have linked that in one of the other threads not made this one, plus it would also be better to link to the corsair website to that model so we can see the ratings on the various 'rails'.
 
I'm no expert so can't say yes or no, but others have said that 650w will be fine if not oc'ing the graphics cards. and seeing as you've got a good brand psu not a cheap one don't need to worry about it going bang.

if you are worried, you have 2 options:

1) get a new psu
2)stick with 1 6950
