To keep up with a M3 to those speeds I would suspect it had a T16 engine in it. My friend had a 5 door 306 with a heavily modified 2l 8v turbo and it caught a few cars by surprise but couldn't keep up with a M3 past 135ish

definitely a sleeper, looked bog standard apart from a slightly larger bore exhaust (functional not chavvy) and xenon lights. I tried to take a peek at his calipers/discs (always a good sign imo) but things were a bit hairy so I gave the road my full attention.

captured the whole thing on my roadhawk but I'm not uploading it for obvious reasons ;)

oh and it sounded well as it went past, screaming valves aplenty!
 
Theres a few running c20let conversions with a few mods with screamingly fast results - even faster than the original corsas, etc. for some reason (not that into it so don't know why).

According to the OP we're only talking 93 MPH the standard 306 1360cc can do that ;)
 
Defo a charged 6 engine surely. Probably only low boast too. Know plenty of GTi6's that a charged, not seen an estate mind :o
