That was how I felt about it to. Quite disappointed really, I'd looked forward to seeing it for ages, but it didn't deliver. Seemed like it was trying to take itself a bit seriously at times, but it just didn't fit.
One of the best British films of the century IMO (second to 'This is England').
It is definitely a very funny film but the tragic elements hit me the more I watch it and I now find it really dark. Great writing from Chris Morris (as usual).
I saw this the other night, have been wanting to watch it for ages. I really enjoyed it, some great moments but also the more serious (whilst still amusing) end I thought was good.
