New DGteam Firmware (DG834GT)

I have no experience with that router unfortunatly, only one way to find out though :)

Iv hit a brick wall at the moment, if I lower the SNR more than I have from the router I start to get packet loss. I'm going to pick up a new filter from work tomorrow to give it abit of refreshening

If I lower anymore than 78% I get packet loss but not a drop ppp

Any tips on how I can iron these out and get consistent replies?

Nice high error count you have there ;)

Replace your filters and make sure you have disconnected your ring wire. The packetloss could be due to a very high number of CRC errors.

Have you tried doing a tracert to bbc.co.uk and seen where along your route your circuit drops packets?

Taking home a new filter tonight and yes ring wire was disconnected about a year ago :)

I spotted this post whilst having a look around. I noticed that it also supports the DG834G v3 however I can't find the firmware it doesn't seem to be listed on that mirror site, unless I'm being dumb, could somebody point me to a copy of it please?
Also would I see any improvment by tweeking the SNR

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6141 kbps 797 kbps
Line Attenuation 37 db 11 db
Noise Margin 7 db 16 db

Many Thanks

Thanks it did the trick however I can't find the SNR tweaking option, I think this is an old version looking at the current version number. Is the version you've got the same?

Is it stable though? I used to run my dgn2000 at 35% (before it buggered up and I've not reset my new one yet)

Are all the modulation setting necessary, I think I only ticked adsl2+ and multimode

Hi guys,

I have noticed that DGTeam now has version DG834NV1_V1.02.15_DGTeam_1018 on their website out for the Netgear DG834N-V1 when I always
thought the latest DGTeam version for DG834N-V1 was DG834NV1_V1.02.13_DGTeam_0850 as this is the release you find all over the internet and
the release I thought was the latest DGTeam release for this router.

Has anyone tried this DGTeam firmware out yet and can let me know if it is any better than their V1.02.13_DGTeam_0850 release?

I have also noticed they also have another release out for this router DG834NV1_V1.02.15_DGTeam_1022 that I have also never seen before
but this release doesn't flash properly and ends up with a bad flash when flashing with the router interface and even the upgrade utility.

Thanks for responding.

Just finally broken the 2MB/s speed :) have been tweaking using the SNR tool on DG834GT, with DGTeam custom firmware, ISP end has been customised with profiles for speed on a low SNR, tweaked further for a while using this router with bits done on the line in the house.

Finally broke the 20.2meg sync speed and just downloaded a file through SabNZBd+ with provider astraweb hitting 2MB/s.

Iv only been able to hit 1.9MB/s for a while, seems that the jitter I was getting has cleared up a bit.

Graphs I was using through failr8 seem much cleaner :) going to give it a week or so maybe on this and try and adjust a bit more as PPP uptime and ping times seem fine at the moment, not much packet loss, the odd spike but nothing to cry about.
