Razer Blade "Worlds First Gaming Laptop"

You really have to compare it to other gaming laptops to get a fairer comparison, as quite frankly if you compare it vs a desktop then you've kinda missed the point. The gaming laptop (and workstation) niche still exists because there IS a market for portable or semi-portable (DTR) workstation/gaming machines, either because people don't have the space, move a lot, need something mobile etc etc.

That said you can get a faster laptop for about a grand so it still fails. :D

I think it looks amazing as a shell etc, the spec and cost and past experience with Dell m1710 means never again a gaming laptop

I bought a Grade A Toshiba A665 last week.

Core i7
4Gb RAM
500Gb HD
Nvidia GTS 350M
Win 7 Home Premium
and it features a 120Hz screen, NVidia 3D vision and glasses kit.

£349.99

So it's an inch thick, I can still carry the bloody thing! :p

How is it a fail? It looks awesome.

Fair enough it costs $2700 which is too much. Gaming on laptops is fine these days, of course you plug a mouse in. You don't get desktop performance but then you don't expect it either.

Will it even manage to run GW2 or D3???

Yes? My year old Dell plays Crysis ok and it cost much less than this.

It's also fail because you can get a better specced gaming laptop which weigh about the same (although admittedly a little thicker) for about half the cost, bear in mind Razer often translates $:£ 1:1. £2800 for that is WAY too much. At half the price it might have hard a market, but as it stands, the bigger, more publically known Alienware/Clevo are available cheaper, with a better spec. Aside from those with more money than sense, no one will buy one as it's priced itself out the market.
