any old school bmx fans in the house?
if so what have you got or what would you like to have?
ive been searching the bay for a project but theres nothing im interested in atm :( .. id like to get frame and forks in as best condition as possable of an 81-84 year bike, then build it up over a period of time with original parts

in order of preference:

Diamond Back (Harry Leary) Turbo
Mongoose Supergoose (1984 UK version)
Diamond Back Turbolite
Mongoose pro Class
P.K. Ripper
Skyway Ta

My first one was a Super Tuff Burner with mag wheels until someone nicked it in the late 80s, 88 or 89.

Last one I had was a Kuwhara but I can't remember which model it was.

even in that nick i wouldnt expect much change from a grand :/
 
I had a standard Raleigh burner when i was a nipper. Modified it with straight across handlebars, an aeroyal seat, front and rear pegs, those bearclaw pedals that tore your shins to shreds and mag wheels. And then it got nicked from our back garden. :(

i never got the bearclaw pedals as my mates at the time who got them first had no shins left lol, i had a uni turbo seat on my pro-lite back in 82 :D were the bars CW's? they were the in thing back in the day.. they were straight across, i had steel copys :(

nostalgia and they are rare so an auction would be 'quite busy' if one came up, id be after one in better nick than that though and still get change for 1k

Holy cow, I have soo many memories flooding back from that vintage site. It has made my week. Especially with the P.K Ripper and the legendary Landing gear forks.

i would have copyed/pasted a few here but they says they have copyright of them so just gave the link instead, btw if i got a ripper id be after a crome one with light blue decals :D

Still ride mine when the sun's out.:)

1983 MK1 Formula 1. The frame/forks/crank and pedals are original, the rest i fitted many years ago.

She's a bit tatty now but rides well.:D
 
I had a mini Raleigh Burner in `84 and then at some point got a Raleigh Burner (white with green "chunky" spokes.) I've looked on that site before though and can't find it, although there are fairly similar.
 
i had an old raleigh ultra burner with cw's and skyways on..lol I loved that bike right until some bar steward stole it :(
blatant I know someone famous plug but Dave Young is a top mate of mine :)
