Masterchef Australia Series 3

A heads up to those who may be interested series 3 starts this Sunday, 4th September, on Watch (Sky 109, Virgin 124) at 7pm.

Masterchef Australia is a different format to the UK version, I've thouroughly enjoyed the previous series. Even if you haven't seen the first 2 series give it a try, you may like it

Wasn't sure whether it would be better here or the Cuisine section, please move if it should go there.

thx for the heads up! Really enjoyed the last 2 seasons (although not a fan on the bigger judge..) Has such a nice and civil feel to it compared to the more aggressive american version.

First series was excellent. Certainly lent a few ideas to the US version. I prefer it to the UK one.

Can't even cook scones wtf.
Non set gnash, it was liquid. At no point should it ever be that liquid what was she thinking.

More non set ice creams. 45mins why would you choose an ice cream, you dumb....

And wtf, helping each other. This series confuses me.

They seem to have messed the format up in S3 too - completely taking the skill aspect out and just throwing the contestants curveballs. I also don't think the standard is anywhere near as high in terms of the amateur chefs...

Yea it seems a little bit all over the place at the moment, hopefully it'll hit its stride when they whittle the top 50 down and some of the more likeable characters show through.

True, but it's a million more times more entertaining than the UK version. And I really enjoy the 'masterclass' that they have at the end of each week.

I'm sure there's a lot of 'production' behind it. It's like a cross between X-Factor, The Apprentice and Masterchef.

Anyone still watching this?
Loving the master classes. Will be trying out the stock and sauces.

Also why can't they both go. Both aren't unto standards and both are annoying.
