GTX 480 Equivalent in 500 series

Reading your signature, if your 480 & Accellero Xtreme is fine, there is no point sidegrading to a 570 as it has less vram and performs similarly but less in some cases.

You must be able to achieve higher overclocks with your 480 that takes it to 580 territory due to your cooler.

If power draw is the issue, then it still costs far less than a side/upgrade.

About the 570. From what I remember, in some games the 570 is a little faster, in others the 480 is a little ahead.

Indeed, that is what I found from reading reviews.

GTX 570 is very similar performance to the 480, 570 has slightly less memory 1280MB vs 1536 of the 480 and is on a 320 bit memory bus as opposed to 384 of the 480 which gives the 480 a higher overall memory bandwidth. The 570 draws less power, runs cooler and is clocked higher out of the box, most also seem to have headroom for 800+ core clocks.
