Antec 920 + Frozr inlet or exhaust?

I'm building a new system with the above in a Haf-x case with a 69xx Frozr III GPU.

The Frozr dumps most of its heat into the case, which would then pass up and through the 920's rad in the default exhaust setup.

Would it be better to reverse the fans on the 920 to inlet cooler air from outside the case? I assume I would need a filter to stop the rad matrix from getting dusty?

Also, does it matter which way up the rad is fitted, pipes at top/bottom/side - same for the pump?

Thanks for any advice as I've always used air cooling in the past.

Intake will give slightly better temps at the cost of higher internal ambient temperature unless you have top exhaust fans to get rid of the hot air.

I know my system is slightly different form yours, I have a X6 phenom cooled by a Antec 620 and also a MSI FROZR III!

In my new Silverstone RV03 case I have two 180,, fans on the bottom as an intake, and I have placed my rad on the top fan which I am using as an exhaust! Because of the two fans blowing the cool air through, my GPU idle temp has dropped 13c/14c and my CPU has dropped a degree or two!

I am contemplating putting another fan on the rad to use as a push fan!!

Remember, the hot air from your card can be pushed straight out if you place a fan in the correct area, i'm lucky as my card sits vertically in my case and the hot air fires out the top before it can heat up my inside!
