I'm having trouble telling if this is 'for real' or not. You service a car to change the oil, you check the oil level between services. I check mine every 2 weeks or so. I also check all other fluids at the same time.

New cars will use more oil. But a litre in 4k isn't a lot anyway.

Surely the car's manual tells you to check oil frequently. Think both my last two cars' manuals suggested as often as you refueling.

Shouldn't be drinking coolant though.

I check all fluids weekly, which is more often than I refuel.

If you know a friendly person with VCDS I think they can code in the option for the bonnet release module activation.

I heard you can use it to BBQ food if you keep revving the engine. Sounds like a good idea

Thanks for the advice, I did check the cap/seal and it was still a little pressurised when I opened it (after a short drive)
