sing a song to yourself in your head,
do you hear the words ? even though its silent and your not saying anything
when i do it its just like the artist who's song it is, and i CAN hear the voice / band.

is there an explanation for this ( don't say madness )

Apparently its quite common. I had non stop music and TV adverts playing in my head for 10 days a few years ago, by the last few days I was also hallucinating through lack of sleep. It was a terrible experience.
