Non mercury dental fillings

Stay off the fluoridated water, read about the poisons that damage your body, and don't make troll comments at people who want a healthy body. If you want a nice cocktail of Fluoride, Chlorine and Mercury because Government says it's ok, good for you.

And the nutcases that believe this don't have significantly longer lives or anything so why do you listen to them but condemn us for listening to the majority?

The risk from these things is tiny, so by and large the cost of using them is smaller than the cost of using something else. It's simple economics.

I cant see how having mercury in your system, which cannot get out, will ever be a good thing. Luckily I do take supplements, lots of Vitamin C,D,E,K

My lord you worry too much.

I know something that will really scare you, there is radiation all around you.

The level of mercury in the fillings is very low and have been used for hundreds of years.

The majority of people thought the earth was flat. I don't care how many people think Fluoride, Chlorine and Mercury is something everyone should be putting in their body, they are dangerous poisons. The fact the majority of dentists refuse to even acknowledge Mercury as dangerous purely to save their reputation or have to accept liability scares me.

I guess it comes down to personal preference. Even if there was a 2% chance of getting Alzheimer's or diabetes from these poisons over a life time, why take the risk? The system is changing that is fact, but these people do not want to have to admit the use of toxic chemicals so they're being stubborn about it.

Well you took the risk by ruining perfectly good teeth and leaving yourself with 'poisonous' decay.
Good work there fella, and while you deliberate about what harm all the restorations may cause, you might do yourself more harm leaving gross infected sources present within your body.
Image what the rampant bacterial overgrowth is doing to you, bugs that catually make toxins.

luckily you take supplements, thank goodness, else you'd be *&^%ed.

Out of interest what time period was this?

In small doses (as with many things) there is likely to be no harm from such things and they may even be beneficial or at least the benefit outweighs the harm.

I doubt the risk is anywhere near that significant as a 1 in 50 and personally there are a lot of things that rate much higher on the scale of things that worry me but as you say it's your choice so good luck finding a dentist to accomodate you.

they charged me 40quid a filling? where did you pull the £100 from?

That could possibly be because it was a private dentist doing the fillings to explain the difference in prices.

Oh no....another 'fluoride is poison' chap. Maybe a bit more fluoride on your teeth would help prevent you getting cavities.

I am having 2 tin fillings (I think, the black ones) taken out and replaced with new white ones. I've had them for like 20 years, but now one cracked, so I thought I would just get rid of both in one go. The private dentist I always go to is charging me £120 per filling! :O

If you have to ask then your dentist is rubbish. Google it.

I have a private dentist on an insurance plan, they charge about 80 quid for a filling but after "cash back" it works out about 40 quid.

To ne honest I will never go to an NHS butcher again.

OP, reading this forum, the PC is emitting depleted uranium, I think as a responsible non-sheep you should stay away from it.

I'll be serious for a second and will clear up that it's fine if you a concerned for your health and if you really do take it very seriously then maybe save up for the non-mercury fillings seen as they will stay there for a while

Not me personally but my old pastor, used to be a dentist himself is now 72 with all teeth intact. However he has only ever brushed his teeth once a day and drinks about 8 cups of tea a day with 6 sugars in.
