The urban city scape environment worked with the noir stylings of the first two. Unless they can transfer the style and feel of the first two games to Brazil, I won't be buying.

Can understand the scepticism but I wouldn't remotely write this off just yet. Really enjoyed the first 2 and Rockstar very rarely do wrong (I'm not in the GTA 4 is a bad port crowd - looks miles better on PC than it does on 360). It's a new direction for the series, but if anyone can pull it off it's Rockstar.

Hopefully they'll keep the graphic novel loading screens and internal monologue!

I hope I'm wrong, and that it does live up to the first 2 games, but I get the feeling that this game was not a "Max Payne" game early in development, and maybe it was decided to morph it into a Max payne game. :cool:

All Rockstar did though was publish it. It was Remedy who made the first two.

1 and 2 are the some of the best gaming experiences Ive ever had, they were very special games. Running through a burning kitchen was massively cool at the time.

Huge error ditching Sam for Max Payne 2 if you ask me. It just wasn't the same.
