Yeap, Diplomacy AI, sucks large round objects.. Just don't bother with trying to trade items

Does It still take ages to complete a turn when you get to the modern era? This is what made it unplayable for me.

Well I will give the Civ 5 a go for £7.50 wonder how long the download takes.
Looks like at my slow 70kb/s an 5016mb download = 20 hrs to finish.

Funny have downloaded Alpha Centauri demo few years ago but hated the game would never buy it the game looked a mess horrible colours an all the strange units but love Civ series.
Civ 5 is surpose to better now with the updates will find out friday.

I'm very tempted buy this, loved Civ IV.

I read at release people were moaning because it was dumbed down compared. This might be an asset to me, as I'm thick as pig ****.

It's not massively dumbed down and I like the fact that you can only have one unit per tile as it makes for better fights.

It's falls down because diplomacy and the trade system is broken.

There will come a point in most games where everybody hates you even if you've not been particularly aggressive.

Finished downloading Civ V took 14 hrs at 70kb/s so better than 20 hrs I thought it would take.

It's the 1st Civ game i've played and I'm liking it, so for £7.50 that's awesome!
