Best budget graphics?

My mates asked me to build a pc for his son. He wants to play games like call of duty for eg. I was looking at maybe a gtx 550 but don't know if that would be enough? He will be running through a tv, so running at 1080 resolution. Thankyou.

How much would be like to spend as people have different meaning of budget & what psu does he have?

It will be a new build so not sure on power supply. But I would reckon around 100-150 on the gpu. As long as it runs most games he will be happy. Think the lads on about 11yrs old.

If you want to go a bit lower, then maybe the 460 1gb or the 6850, both around £125 odd. These cards will be fine playing COD on 1080p.
