Nexus Prime

Plenty of roms out with 2.3.4 on xda but you won't find much difference but I think 2.3.4 is meant to fix Android battery drain

I'm due a new contract next month and was planning on getting a Samsung GSII. I've never had a smartphone before so was looking forward to getting one but it looks like this Nexus Prime is going to try and irritate the bejesus out of me by being released at the end of next month or november.

Nope because they are developing the new Nexus, if they had half a brain they'd develop it for the S II too since it will have similar hardware. :)

Yes, but they wont.

Nothing at all, but people have some kind of strange fixation with having the latest android version.

Apart from the huge security whole fix?

**EDIT** Oh, and video chat in Google Talk

Do you work for Samsung?

They wont. Simple as.

I didn't say they were, you're the one who seems certain, so that is why I asked.

Google partner plus they're developing on similar hardware equals a possibility of early upgrade. Simples.

Fair enough. They wont though. :p

We don't even know that they are similar internals yet. Almost definitely they will run on different CPU's, have a different screen etc.

Also, the Prime wont have TouchWiz. That will have to be totally re-written for ICS.

**EDIT** btw, don't get me wrong, it will come, but it will be 3-6 months. Maybe I wrongly assumed you meant immediately. ICS will come to all new phones, so it would be a silly thing to state as something Samsung will do as they are making the prime :)
