The media is at fault, telling everyone there is a recession, causing people to worry about their money, stop spending and causing the circulatiiion of money to slow down, causing businesses to go bust and people to lose jobs.
If they didnt keep on about there being a recession no-one would be any the wiser and life would go on normally, imo
