how much booze do you drink?

i have 1-2 cans of regular strength lager every day, i very rarely binge drink (once in two months maybe i'll drink about 6 pints). I don't like being drunk.

Not a lot. I don't drink midweek and Saturday's I'm usually working. Fridays I used to binge drink like a fish. But a year ago, I had to stop drinking for 3 or so months due to painkillers and never really got back into the massive heavy drinking. Not weekly anyway. Probably down to massive binge in 1in6 weeks now.

I don't drink in the week generally, unless I treat myself to a few nice bottles of beer when I go shopping. This is rare though.

However, every 2/3 weeks I might go out "wit lads" and I always get smashed. It's a bit of a problem tbh. On those sort of nights I would typically have about 4 pints, a bottle of wine and a pitcher of some filthy cocktail (to myself). Also spend at least £40/50 :(

Humm I tend to drink about 8 or 9 pints if I'm going to weekend football by train. There might be one occasion ever week or two where I have a few on a day in the week but nothing more.

Its not like undergrad uni where drink 4-5 times a week was needed...

Cant imagine how anyone can enjoying drinking everyday though, really took a lot out of me when I drank anywhere near that much (same with smoking too which makes me wonder how many people do "it" every day too as that used to leave me in more of a state). Even one or two after a few days used to disrupt my sleeping and days very badly :(

I usually go out two days a week for a drink - I usually drink too much and end up buying nasty food on the way home. Smoke far too much. >40 a day.

I don't smoke. Ugh

Drinking though yes. I don't see the point in having a drink through the week just for the sake of having a drink. Weekends are the same really unless I'm going out somehwere for a meal, then maybe have a pint with the meal. Only ever drink if I'm going out, and I never drink at home unless there's a party.

However, mate goes back to uni next week and it's freshers. I've booked the week off so it's going to be drink drink and more drink! :)

Erm, I had 4 pints of 7.3% cider and two pints of normal stuff on wednesday. But I don't go out particuarly often any more.

Another question for slightly more "mature" members... If you did go out in your teens/twenties, and you are now a lot more settled down, what age did that happen?

I'm 24 and I still need to get out every now and then. Always get that Friday feeling! I'm just curious as to when I won't feel like going out anymore :p

I try not to drink when at home in the evening as I work away a fair amount. The odd beer whilst working away.

Any time with friends is usually at a pub over a couple of pints and the odd big ones when jack gets opened up :)

I drink far too much, couple of pints most nights, sometimes a spirit and mixer before i go to bed, on the other side though i stopped drinking proper coke a couple of years ago in favor of diet coke (i cant see me going back), eat generally quite healthily and do a lot of exercise with my dogs + running 3 -4 times a week.

I suppose the question is really how much better shape would i be in if i cut out the alcohol.

As soon as Friday's work day finishes the Vodka comes out. And generally out with mates in town Friday and Sat ngihts getting very drunk - I recon i get through 1 litre of vodka a weekend - I don't drink beer.

I'm still doing it at 32 and haven't let up yet, so plenty of years to go :D
