hi
i am getting paid and will have some spare cash.
so i was thinking about spending it on my pc.

first i considered a cpu but decided to wait and see what BD and ivy bridge are going to bring to table. (i already have an AM3+ MB from when i upgraded and it made more sense to get a newer one even if i wont get BD as it was still the same price)

then the only other thing that needs upgrading is my GPU
on some games my 5770 only just runs in very high settings. (GTA 4, Dead Space, Starcraft 2...) and can start to stutter when under heavy load...

so i have been shopping around the past couple of days.
and judging by reviews etc.....

the GTX 560ti looks like the main contender.

i have also looked at the 6870, 6950, GTX 460 Hawk and just the standard GTX 560

so would anybody be able to give me some suggestions as to which would be the better option or if there is any other cards out there.

my budget is around 130-160ish
thanks :)

Bump sorry to hijack but in the same boat as OP.
1920/1080 max res and same type of money to spend.
So watching this thread close :)

right
gotta choose between 6870 and 560ti

6870 is £109 or £130 depending on make

GTX 560ti is £150

which is going to be better?

560ti is more powerful and depending on the model may overclock very well.

I have reservations about buying a graphics card from the bay, personally I'd pay a bit more and purchase from a reputable retailer.
