Set speakers to 2. It's a bug with 5.1 apparently.

They are, even done that editing of the audio file and not working.

Played this for around 5 hours today, just got to the act in the town.

Pretty good so far I would say, i'm enjoying it.

Yeah i was getting crackling noise all of a sudden,Now its gone.

Problem is ive not actually been able to play Dead island yet for more than 5 mins....everytime i get outside onto the beach for the first time it freezes then crashed.

This game feels more like a BETA...hope they sort the problems soon!

I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting this game, would it be better getting the game from retail rather than direct from steam dont know if it really makes any differene or not?

With all the problems people are reporting on the PC version is there the same issue with the 360 and ps3 versions or is it just the pc version thats bugged up?

Steamworks, so you can buy retail and activate on Steam. Tempted to get it from GMG for £25 with the discount code in the other thread.
