RIP to all victims, it's like our generation of when Elvis died etc, everyone kind of remembers where they were that day and what they were doing, truly shocking stuff seeing it unfold on the tv

Why should I care any more or less than the other civilians who have died during recent wars just because these were mainly americans.

Where was the international reflection and commemoration for the 8,000 civilians killed in the Srebrenica massacre as but one example.

This is a tragedy for the people involved and I can have the general empathy for peoples loss, but as usual the americans through their own inflated sense of self importance and nationalist outpouring try to portray this as the most tragic event that has ever happening, which if you have equal empathy for all humans, is frankly ridiculous.

At some point, and that point has arguably already passed, people do need to "forget" about it, or at the very least move on.

If you don't care then what was the point in posting in the thread?
