In acme's chair.
i have my 2500k clocked to 4.2ghz with an antec kuhler h2o 620 using a lian li fan at full-on (very quiet still) :)

running prime95 my temps cap at 68*c, but it eventually drops slightly  and sits at about 65*c

i'm using the stock compound that was on the kuhler, but i will change to arctic silver 5 sometime soon(ish)

Temps look ok, is your fan pulling air from out of the case or in the case? You could also add a second fan to the rad for a push/pull config, that should shave a few degree's off your temps.

i think its pulling air out.

also what do you mean by 'push pull'?
i've read 'push pull watercooling' quite a lot, but i am very new to the pc gaming scene.

You want to have it pushing air in through the rad from outside the case, then fit another fan pulling air through the rad :D

ah ok that makes sense now. how about having a fan pushing air through the rad towards the outside, and another one pulling it out? (inverted)

i only ask because of my fermi gtx480, i only really want cool air being sucked in

That won't work as well because you'll be drawing warm air through the rad from inside the case

Here's my extremely rough diagram lol

Flip round your current fan, having it pulling air into the case should see the temps drop a few degrees, then if you want it a little cooler buy another fan for P/P, alternatively buy 2 new fans that have higher airflow for P/P.

i have the original fan spare, as well as a couple more antec fans, i will set it up tomorrow and post the difference :)

*edit*, i don't have any more long screws though, so i might just have one fan pushing air in for now. unless i figure something else out, or find some spare long screws :p

hello all, i now have my watercooling set up in push pull and it shaved 10*c off of my load temperatures!!! thankyou so much :D

i think my gtx480 was to blame for the warm air in the case...

also i have a slight overclocking issue, i have another thread for it (which i just made) if you think you can help, please do :p
