I would not give up my 24" screen just so I can sit downstairs to play a game.

You pay more for laptops to be as good and in general, a lack of upgradeabilty.
What you spent on a laptop can get a much better PC and in my world, means a lot more
Although, I have no issues with laptops vs PC that's just a stupid argument.

cannot fault that argument at all because i agree it's completely true, however the only point in the original post which i was debating was when Zefan said laptop users arnt gamers as i certainly am and bought my laptop to specifically play games (mainly as i travel a fair ammount, the going downstairs is just one other advantage).

Hopefully they will make a decent PC version, but I hear they're updating Source anyway with a big patch soon so dunno if GO is even needed. The one good thing about GO is the ranked matchmaking system, and perhaps the graphics if that matters to you. Its pretty much the same engine just more detailed
Hopefully with cross platform support dedicated servers can place restrictions so you don't get console players. I don't want gamepad players on my team in pubs. For ranked matches it wouldn't matter because you would go above their Elo but normal pubs would suck without restrictions. Because it would be random how well you do with people not on a level playing field..sometimes you would be killing gamepad players, sometimes you would have a gamepad player as the last player alive on your team against a pc player etc
They made huge concessions to the gamepad with the gameplay too. Hopefully they get rid of wasda with rifles and make the recoil/spread feel like CS rather than cod, and put in a proper buy menu with numbers

When I put a game in my PC, it just works.
I hardly have as many issues as console tards keep on making there out to be with PCs.
I've never actually had to open my PC just to get one game working, I cant really tell whay your issue was but I've never had these kinds of difficulties, and in cases where I have minor incompatibilities with some games, its almost always the softwares fault. The PC gets lots of rubbish, rushed and buggy releases, you cant blame the platform for that as the fault lies with the developers.

btw Bavhy - I'm a gamer - not a console 'tard. Where the good gaming is to be had, I'll be there. PC / PS3 / 360 / Wii - all the same to me. They each have their merits and downfalls but they all have some awesome exclusives.

i am new to pc gaming and have been playing for about 4 months now and looking at that footage is just awefull. i dont even know why i bothered with a controller. the guys at the beginning where dancing about like team america puppets tryna hit each other. all i can say is if its true about it being cross platform multiplayer people on consoles will not wanna play this after a few weeks. i heard some info about steam is going to be available on xbox too like ps3 so maybe the whole cross platform thing is true. and yes to whoever said ps3 allows mouse and keyboard support but how many ps3 owners will actually buy a mouse and keyboard?
The console version will crash hard if MP goes head to head with PC players. While I welcome the opportunity to see off a console player, they might as well spawn the poor lambs in a line against a wall with blindfolds on...

The constant notification's for reloading and such are most likely there for the demoing as multiple people would be using that machine.
I must admit I do enjoy playing FPS's on the xbox as I can chill and just lean back in my chair with a pad rather than hunched over my keyboard. Apart from the poor play it doesn't look too bad apart from toggling in and out of the scoreboard looked slow, I can't imagine using a pad for CS but worth a go!

lol at the OP vid. Makes you wonder why bother with fps on consoles or at least makes you wonder why no one plays with a kb and mouse on a console which i think they do sell them for nowadays. Tho really should make it easier for consoles to use kb and mouse.

Not sure if serious.... Do you mean to say that no person that owns a PS3 already owns a K+M..? Ignoring the fact that you can use a Keyboard and mouse for more than just CS:Go on the PS3 already, the ridiculous idea that console owners have no connections or ideas about existing PC hardware is getting tedious now. You really think that the majority of PS3 owners live in a household where nobody will own a mouse for use with a laptop or desktop PC?
PS3 version. Keyboard and Mouse. Supported.
+ For the record, one video of a useless reporter playing with a pad doesn't really reflect the entire pad using demographic.

why play in a more uncomfortable setting (dunno about you but sat on the floor using the coffee table as a desk for a mouse/kb is uncomfortable) which removes the main big plus of a console, and pay more for the game when you could just get it on the pc and have better controls (more mouse options and settings to get it just right) and graphics?
only reason i could ever see for buying a source game on the ps3 is if they give you the pc steam copy for free.

Orderoftheflame stop trolling there is no real kb/m support on consoles. Yes there are some kb/m available but the way they work makes them useless and not better than a pad. If there was proper kb/m support on console fps there would be a huge outcry due to a few guys destroying everybody.

No, he is right. The PS3 supports mouse and keyboard, but not on games. CS will be the first game to use it.
I've done it, connected my keyboard and mouse to my ps3, it does work.
This thread is ridiculous, all it'll turn into, well it already has, is a console bashing.
