*** Official Dead Island Thread ***

I just fired it up to see what it's like. Seems good, i onlt played about 20 minutes as i don't have time tonight but i'll give it a proper go this wewk.

The only problem that i am getting is really bad screen tearing and forcing v-sync through CCC doesn't do anything. Also, the colours really look washed out to me.
 
Only took me 5 hours to download on steam with my 2mb connection :D finally get a chance to give this a whirl at last.

Is it actually ok to edit the settings to improve the graphical look of the game as there are not to many options within the in game menu or is it deemed a possible ban?

I think i might go straight in for co-op so if there is any new starters out there who wanna join up my steam tag is craney5

Can't find any solid information, if it merits a VAC band or not i say don't risk it
 
Just Finished it with a friend.. :) just short of 18hours it took

Excellent i thought.. will definately play through again.. could do with 2 more people for 4 player co op next time though :(

Still in the first area of the game doing side missions! At this rate I will probably never complete the game, but am having fun! Can see it getting boring eventually.

Captainrave is my Steam name for any other OcUKers who aren't already on my Steam list :)

Just added you mate, ill login now - we can start from the begining or wherever you are in the game - im only at the lighthouse, but its not like id be repeating loads starting again :)
 
This game worth buying?

I like there to be quite a bit of character development in games and this is what gave me some temptation with this, or is it just next level new weapon quite paper thin form of advancement?
