Dubai for a long weekend.??

Hi All,

Just wanted to ask if anyone had been to Dubai at all.?

Looking at a long weekend break for me and the missus.
I've seen flights and hotel for about £500 each but didn't know what the price of living / eating out is like over there.

Midweek prices are about the same as weekend by the look of things.

Anyone got any pointers or tips please.?

My suspicions are that if you aren't phased by that then I doubt the price of general convenience is going to put you off.

Personally I don't like the place but if you want to go, that's your call. Everything revolves around hotels, eating out is pretty much like eating in decent European hotels and there is a significant range of price points. Drinking is somewhat more expensive than Europe. Retail can offer the odd bargain but is not wildly cheap by any means.

I was there for 4 days at the end of a Asia trip.

Food and Taxi's are not expensive at all however the hotels are quite expensive.

Personally I would not go back, wast of time if you ask me.

Ive been in dubai airport on a flight change.

Furtherly recommend, great airport, well worth a weekend trip.
