SSF4 Double Elimination Tournament

A tournament with a difference to determine OVERALL who is truly the best STREET FIGHTER! It's all for fun and hopefully this will be. ;)

RULES:

- First to win 3 games progresses
- Any character can be used
- The winner of a game MUST change character
- The loser of a game can change or remain with the same character
- Once you change character you cannot re-select a previous character you used
- If you Random Select, you must go Random Select all the way
- Lag test must be done first
- Final is a FT5 set

PLEASE READ FOR CONFIRMATION:

(1) If you WIN you MUST change character.
(2) If you LOSE you CAN change character OR stay with the same char.
(3) As soon as you CHANGE CHARACTER (whether you win or lose) you CANNOT go back to previously used character.

I also have a feeling someone will not read, understand or just completely miss the rules but lets hope not. If it happens please point it out to your opponent via XBL and consider that match a warmup. If you fail to point it out at the time, and they go on to win, there is no point arguing about it later. If they do it twice in one set, they are disqualified.

Hold on, just read that. You can only use a char once? U mean once i lose with ryu in a match, I can't use him again in THAT match? Cool. Il add my garbage sagat and sakura

That's right, you can only use a character once. I might have to pull out Seth, hope so anyway. :eek::p

OMH, Kenny, Kylos, Art stand out as strong favourites for me because they are good with quite a range of chars.

PS. Lets see how good elrasho is now? mwahaha ;)

Hmmm I like. Winner potentially gets weaker and weaker as he has to change char giving a better chance to the loser. Super edit job coming up.

edit1: Kreeeee, how do the rules look now. Better? Certainly should make things interesting!

Looks like fun, wish I could enter (worked 13 hours today... still at work).

Your favour towards mixups would actually work really well with Seth.

Edit: I really like ideas like this, as it helps the newbies to have closer games and forces the poorer of the good players (those that can only use 1 character) players to use more characters.

Edit2: Just a shame there are so many shoto's as some people will not have to adapt :P

GGs guys, I am absolute pap with Seth but I like using him, least I beat omh's Guile :P I was about to do a come back then against Hyv but xbox live kicked me out... ;)

Hopefully everyone else will also take to this, lets see how it goes...

adz we can run a set with my guy against your seth if you want. i didnt think you were going to mount any challenge with seth against guy, unless you want to prove it;) you should see it as a moral victory with you dont get 5-0.

haha I'd get pummeled I think, my Seth is abysmal but it's great when you play someone really bad and can do what you want, and Seth is such a fun char! Against anyone half decent though I'd get trounced. Still, I will definitely pull him out in this tourney at some point for a laugh. :)

Lol it's just I don't think I've ever seen you use Sagat? I am definitely not confident using Seth against Sagat though, one combo and Seth is finished, but I'd love to have some friendlies to see how I do.
 
I love the 'winner must change char'.

I don't like the random select the whole set part though. Discourages ppl from an already disadvantageous thing.
How about lose with random select, then you can stick/change (same as non random), and if you win, you need to random select again?

Try not to fix the brackets next time Adz, give me a chance, want someone easy like Art.
